A Portrait by Thomas Crook...

A shot and post below by the very talented Thomas Crook. I'm so grateful to be able to meet people in my day to day work, who are as talented and creative as he is. What a pleasure 🙏🏻👌🏻

Leatherworking Mastery.

I had the pleasure of spending a day with the insanely skilled and world-renowned leatherworker Ashley Clarke, at his workshop this summer. His workshop has so much character and is a dream to photograph - from the vast amount of tools and machinery used to make his equipment to the fascinating process of hand stitching and crafting every product. Everything from his high quality bags that are used by international actors and supersede the biggest boutique brands in quality, to his falconry equipment that are used by royal families and smaller day-to-day products.

Ashley, being the master-craftsman he is, decided that my old @leicauk strap was coming to the end of its life after the 18 months of heavy use it had endured and decided to fashion me a strap from scratch, that is a one of a kind. I was lucky enough to photograph this process from start to finish; and came away with a strap that will last me for many years to come. I would love for more people to see his craft, and get enjoyment from his products as I now do. @Leicauk you really need to look at these straps; they match your incredible craftsmanship so well.
