Product care
Product care
I make my products to stand the test of time. This belt is crafted from a durable, natural leather which will only look better with age.
However, you can give your belt some extra TLC by:
- Wiping any dirt from the surface of the leather with a damp cloth.
- Buffing out small scruffs or scratches from wear using a cotton cloth. This brings the natural oils to the surface of the leather.
- Feeding the leather with Original Sedgwick Leathercare to protect and replenish the natural oils in the hide. Please note that this product will slightly darken the colour of the leather.

More information
A classic leather belt, designed for a perfect fit with no fuss. Simply order your usual trouser size - no measuring needed. Built for everyday wear, this no-nonsense belt delivers function and durability without compromising on style.
Handcrafted from world-renowned J & E Sedgwick bridle leather, the Classic Fit Belt features hand-bevelled and burnished edges, solid brass hardware, and a sturdy, logo-embossed belt keep. With seven adjustment holes spaced one inch apart, you’ll get a reliable, comfortable fit every time.
Whether you're heading outdoors or dressing up for the day, this belt is made to handle it all. Tough, versatile, and effortlessly smart - it’s the one you’ll reach for again and again.
Designed, cut and sewn by hand in my Lincolnshire workshop using traditional leatherworking techniques.

Crafted from the finest materials
Bridle leather is the obvious choice for the Classic fit belt. I source mine from J & E Sedgwick, the best in the business. The tannery is based in Walsall, West Midlands, and is world-famous for its hand finished, high quality bridle leather.
The belt buckles are produced by Abbey England, which is family-owned and which dates back to 1832. Abbey England supplies saddlery materials to the royal family and is the only traditional foundry left in Britain.

Designed to last a lifetime
As the name suggests, bridle leather was traditionally used in the manufacture of horse bridles because of its heavy-duty and hard-wearing qualities. A horse rider’s life depends on the quality of their tack so if Sedgwick’s is good enough for them, it’s good enough for Ashley Clarke England products.
My designs marry functionality with classic, heritage-inspired style to produce pieces that stand the test of time and will look better and better with wear.
As it accompanies you through life, your belt may get scuffed or scratched. This will add to the unique character of your piece and I encourage you to embrace this. One day, another generation of your family, may inherit this belt and those signs of your story.

Made in England
Each belt is made from start to finish in my workshop in Grantham, England. I design my patterns using an age-old method, drawn by hand with pencil and pattern card, and cut with a scalpel.
I physically mock up each new design in leather, there’s no use of CAD in this process, everything is done by hand.
My cutting knives are made bespoke for each product that I produce. Workshop visitors are often surprised that some of these knives look a bit like pastry cutters.
Every belt is sewn using my trusty sewing machines and finished with my own two hands, whether that’s hand bevelling an edging or embossing a signature detail. This is how leather has been worked for centuries.
I make limited ranges of premium leather goods, using trustworthy, traditional techniques.
